What are the commonly used medical plastics?

There are 7 kinds of commonly used medical plastics :
1. Polyvinyl chloride (pvc)
2. Polyethylene (PE)
3. Polypropylene (PP)
4. Polystyrene (PS) and K resin
5. Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS)
6. Polycarbonate (PC)
7. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
Compared with glass/metal materials, plastics mainly have the following characteristics:
• Tough, flexible, not as fragile as glass;
• Has good chemical inertness and biosafety.
• Low cost, can be reused without disinfection, and is suitable for use as a raw material for disposable medical devices;
• It is easy to process, and its plasticity can be processed into a variety of useful structures, while metals and glass are difficult to manufacture into complex structures;
These performance advantages make plastics widely used in medical equipment, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), ABS, Polyurethane, polyamide, thermoplastic elastomer, polysulfone and polyetheretherketone. Blending can improve the properties of plastics and make the best performance of different resins, such as polycarbonate / ABS, polypropylene / elastomer and other blending modification.

Impact Drill

A Hammer Drill, also known as a percussion drill or impact drill, is a power Tool used chiefly for drilling in hard materials.It is a type of rotary drill with an impact mechanism that generates a hammering motion. The percussive mechanism provides a rapid succession of short hammer thrusts to pulverize the material to be bored, so as to provide quicker drilling with less effort. If a hammer drill's impact mechanism can be turned off, the tool can be used like a conventional drill to also perform tasks such as screw driving.
