Dow and Milliken develop a new generation of transparent polypropylene

Dow Chemical Company and Milliken Group announced the launch of the new generation polypropylene product series - AGILIT NX transparent polypropylene resin at the 2011 Chicago International Housewares Fair. The new product has an excellent appearance and excellent functionality, and the usage rate has been improved, thereby greatly improving the sustainable properties of polypropylene.

The new AGILITY NX resin is the perfect combination of two leading technologies: Dow's breakthrough random copolymer polypropylene resin design and production technology and Milliken's new generation of Millad NX8000 transparency. The new resin is suitable for food and consumer product storage containers with high cleanliness, injection molding process, thin-walled food packaging, and other demanding consumer product applications.

AGILITY NX is the first of Dow's new AGILITY high-performance polyolefin portfolio for improved functionality, efficiency and appearance.

Processors can operate equipment at lower processing temperatures to save energy.
