Feed pellet molding
For the ring mold pellet feeder, when the moisture entering the processed material is too low, the surface quality of the processed pellet feed is smooth and hard, which is not easy for the animal to digest and absorb, and the processing power is too large, the productivity is low, and the electricity consumption per ton is large. When the moisture is too high, the processed pellets have a rough appearance and a low molding rate, which is prone to mildew and fragmentation during transportation, and also causes wear between the mold rolls.
In the process of processing feed with a flat die machine, the moisture is too low, sometimes causing blockage of the die hole, reducing the output, increasing the electricity consumption per ton, thereby increasing the production cost; when the moisture is too high, the shape of the pellet feed does not meet the technical requirements. The product molding rate is reduced, and it is not easy to store and transport.
Generally, the moisture of pelleted feed should not be higher than 12.5%; but it can be no more than 13.5% in the north. If the pellet feed is processed in summer, the optimum moisture of the finished pellet is preferably not higher than 12.5%. Otherwise, it is easy to mold and deteriorate.
If the processed pelletized feed end of the processed product is too high to be changed, it can be reprocessed by a dryer to meet the finished product requirements.
