Laminate flooring technical indicators

I. Density (g/cm3): This refers to the quality of the laminate flooring substrate. The substrates used for laminate flooring are medium and high density panels (density density fibreboard 0.82g-0.94g/cm3). Such panels are made from wood fibres and mortar by high temperature and high pressure. The higher the density, the better the impact resistance and pressure resistance of the substrate.

Second, the surface wear (R): This indicator is the market to promote more wood flooring, consumers are more concerned about the indicators. Because there is no national standard for strengthening wood flooring, the indicators measured by different detection methods often have large differences. According to the European EN13329 standard, the detection value of the wear-resistant rotation number can be divided into six levels. The test method for the wear resistance rotation number is according to EN 13329. Three specimens are tested with sandpaper No. S-42. Each 200 sandpaper is converted. Within the four quadrants A, B, C and D, three quadrants are clearly visible. The number of revolutions at the time of wear is the initial wear value (IP value). In another EN438 test sandpaper was converted every 500 times. Obviously, the results measured by EN 438 are much higher than the IP values tested according to EN 13329. Now many domestic product testing reports are based on the EN438 test method. The initial wear resistance (referring to the wear pattern) is measured according to the EN 438 standard; the final wear resistance (referred to until the substrate is exposed). Wear resistance indicators are generally based on the number of revolutions, of course, the higher the better.

Third, formaldehyde emission: refers to the release of free formaldehyde. This is an environmental indicator. The national standard for formaldehyde emission from composite flooring is 30 mg/100 g in the approval standard, and the best is 9 mg/100 g. For the amount of formaldehyde released, consumers do not have to talk about discoloration. In fact, in home decorating, there are materials containing free formaldehyde everywhere, such as paint, paint, furniture, flooring, plywood, glue, etc. The amount of formaldehyde released from these materials is only qualified if they meet the national standards.

Fourth, the static bending strength (Mpa): This is an indicator of the ability to detect the bending deformation of laminate flooring, but also one of the important indicators to strengthen the performance of wood flooring. The higher the value of this indicator, the stronger its resistance to bending deformation.

Fifth, the internal bonding strength: The internal bonding strength is the key to reflect the quality of the bonding between the fibers inside the substrate, the lower the strength will cause product delamination.

Sixth, water absorption thickness expansion rate (%): It can be said that this is one of the most important technical indicators for testing laminate flooring. The most obvious advantages of laminated wood flooring compared to raw wood flooring are wear resistance and non-deformation. The degree of swelling of the water-absorbing thickness is an important factor that determines whether or not the laminate flooring will be deformed and deformed after it is wetted. The water-absorbing thickness has a high expansion rate, the floor has poor moisture resistance, and the deformation after moisture is large; the water-absorption thickness expansion rate is low, and the deformation of the laminated wood floor after the tide is small, the moisture resistance is strong, and the product quality is better.

Seven, moisture content (%): This indicator is almost negligible, the index of the product within 10% of the water content is quite low.

8. The surface is resistant to cigarette burn: The test result has no specific value, but is marked by the presence or absence of dark spots, cracks, and blisters on the surface. It is also one of the requirements for testing the quality of laminate flooring, whether it can be flame retardant and resistant to cigarettes. Burning. Nine, surface impact resistance (mm): This is one of the important indicators of the quality of laminate flooring. This refers to the size of the diameter of the floor under test under the same conditions when the tested floor bears the ball impact. The smaller the value, the stronger the impact resistance of the product. Among these inspection indicators, the most important and most important indicators that can directly explain the quality of the flooring are: water absorption thickness expansion rate, surface impact resistance performance, static bending strength and wear resistance value. Consumers should understand in detail the technical indicators and testing indicators of various brands of laminate flooring, and comprehensively choose and compare.
