China is one of the earliest countries in the world to apply microbial pathogens to develop microbial herbicides. The China Rice Research Institute has accumulated rich experience and achievements in the field of microbial herbicides, especially in the industrialization of Klebsiella. In 2008, the Zhejiang Science and Technology Agency included the research on the solid fermentation and dosage form processing technology of the microbial herbicide Klebsiella spp. as a major provincial science and technology project, which was handed over to the China National Rice Research Institute for implementation.

In the past three years, Yu Liuqing’s research team led the project team to systematically study the solid fermentation sporulation technology and dosage form processing technology for the problems of low spore production and unstable weeding effect in the industrialized production of Gramoxaceae. A series of innovations. In the aspect of solid fermentation sporulation technology research, the project team determined the best cultivation and technological conditions for solid-phase fermentation sporulation in pilot-scale trays. Spore yield reached 1.5×107 cells/g dry medium, which was an order of magnitude higher than before. On this basis, they further determined the optimal culture and processing conditions for solid-phase sporulation and sporulation of the pilot-scale cloth bag. The spore yield reached 1.7×107 cells/g dry medium, making this technology possible for large-scale industrial production. .

At the same time, the researchers also made breakthroughs in the processing technology of Gramineae and Gramineae, and successfully developed the Gram-negative spore suspension and 1% Klebsiella spore powder, completed the toxicological test of the preparation, and launched a nationwide field. The drug efficacy test prepared scientific data for the first registration of 1% Klebsiella spore powder in China. On this basis, they also established a joint research platform for production, education and research with Zhejiang Tianyi Agrochemical Co., Ltd. to further promote the industrialization of Gramineous mold. At present, a 1% preparation plant for Trichoderma spores powder has been initially established.
