The trend of the export value of China's plastic products in 2017

Exports of plastic products exported in December were 27.1 billion yuan, and exports were most cost-effective in November-March and March-May.

In 2017, China exported 11.68 million tons of plastic products, an increase of 12.2% year-on-year; the export value was 262.79 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6%.

In December, exports were 1.14 million tons, up 14% year-on-year; the export value was 27.1 billion yuan, up 5.3% year-on-year.

Looking back at historical data, we will find that the peak of plastic products exports in 2016 appeared in December, and only this month's export volume reached 1 million tons.

In 2017, only 5 months of export volume was less than 1 million tons, which were from February to April and from September to October (except for February, the export volume was above 900,000 tons). The peak of exports appeared in May-June, which was 108.10 million tons, respectively, and then gradually fell back to October, which fell to a low of 935,000 tons (this is the lowest valley except February), and rebounded sharply to 114 in December. Ten thousand tons.

In addition to February this year, the monthly export volume of plastic products in other months is expected to exceed 1 million tons. In addition, the export price of plastic products is the highest from November to January and March to May, and the export prices are relatively low in February and June-August. Export enterprises can rationally plan their export shares and obtain the maximum benefits according to the law of price fluctuations.

In December, imported plastics with a primary shape of 30.47 billion yuan, which was more cost-effective at the beginning of the year.

In 2017, China imported 28.68 million tons of primary-shaped plastics, up 11.5% year-on-year; the import value was 328.41 billion yuan, up 20.1% year-on-year.

In December, imports were 2.63 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.38% year-on-year; the import value was 30.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%.

Looking back at historical data, we will find that since March 2016, the unit price of primary-shaped plastic imports has increased month by month and reached its peak in May 2017. Then it fell back slightly and reached its lowest level in September. After that, the unit price rebounded again in the next three months.

With the introduction of environmental taxes in all provinces and cities in China starting from January 1, 2018, and the ban on the import of waste plastics from this year, it is expected that the import of plastics in the primary shape will increase significantly this year, and the unit price increase will exceed 2017. After a long time of rebalancing, the import unit price will fall back.

China's foreign trade export pilot index fell in December

In December 2017, China's foreign trade export leading index was 41.1, down 0.7 from last month, indicating that China's exports still face some pressure in the first quarter of 2018. Among them, according to the online survey data, the China Export Manager Index was 44.2 in December, down 0.6 from last month; the new export order index and export manager confidence index fell 0.4, 1.2 to 48.3, 50 respectively, and the combined cost of export enterprises. The index rebounded by 0.4 to 20.5.
