The load is the most important factor to consider when selecting a bearing. The load size is related to the bearing type; the roller bearing can usually accept heavier loads than the ball shaft with the same outer dimensions; and the bearing with the tumbler filling the raceway has a corresponding retention. The bearing can be subjected to a large load.
Ball bearings are used for light or medium loads. For heavy or large diameter shafts, roller bearings are preferred. The choice of bearings is also related to the direction of the load. Pure radial loads can be selected with deep groove ball bearings or Cylindrical roller bearings. Thrust ball bearings are only suitable for accepting excessive pure axial loads. One-way thrust ball bearings can only accept axial loads in one direction; two-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust angle touch bearings can accept two directions. Axial load.
