Safety technical measures to prevent hydrogen sulfide poisoning

(1) Gas detection

1. The employer should find out the distribution of dangerous sources (such as towers, trenches, ponds, tanks, tanks, sewers, etc.) with harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide in their own boundaries, and conduct regular gas monitoring and analysis;

2. Before the operation, the working environment should be monitored to determine whether there are toxic and harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide and oxygen in the air. Allowable exposure values refer to the permitted concentrations and explosion ranges of common toxic and hazardous gases and occupational exposure limits for workplace hazardous factors (allowable concentrations of toxic substances in the workplace air);

3. During the operation, the necessary number of measurements or continuous monitoring should be maintained;

4. The gas detector must comply with national standards and be regularly tested;

5. Gas detection should be carried out by the units and personnel who have obtained the qualification for monitoring.

(2) Ventilation and precipitation

1. Ventilation must be carried out before operation. The method of natural ventilation or artificial strong ventilation is adopted. The air volume of the ventilator is calculated according to the average wind speed of 0.8m/s in the sewage pipeline. Only the allowable concentration of all toxic and flammable and explosive gases in the operation site can reach the national standard before the operation can be carried out;

2. For operations with large changes in hydrogen sulfide concentration, ventilation must be performed at the same time;

3, fixed closed type sedimentation tank, pulp pool and other facilities, must be installed with a fixed mechanical ventilation system, the entrance area of the pool should not be less than 1. 5 square meters, and install a safety net above the opening, where it is not suitable For fixed ventilation systems, mobile or portable ventilation facilities must be provided;

4. For the operation entering the pipeline, pre-equiring must be carried out before the operation to avoid diving operation. When the operation is completed, the upstream and downstream pumps should be contacted to stop and drive time to prevent the drowning accident.
