The use of scrap aluminum to make concrete products

U.S. scientists are conducting research into the transformation of aluminum waste into treasure. The annual aluminum industry waste output in the United States is approximately
One million tons, they come from the melting process of aluminum.
This aluminum scrap is often referred to as "salt shells," and they are waste products that are extracted during the refining of aluminum. Each year, aluminum manufacturing owners have to spend huge sums of money to deal with this kind of "salt shell", which is mainly used for waste treatment and environmental compensation.
Researchers are working on a new technology that will transform "salt husks" into useful raw materials for making concrete products such as lightweight brick, foam concrete and mine backfill grouting materials. By using the intrinsic properties of aluminum "salt shells" it can be used as a foaming agent and concrete fines.
