As an important step in the Sandvik Group's tooling business, Sandvik Coromant President Kenneth Sundh was appointed Executive Vice President of Sandvik Tooling and responsible for the Global Strategy Program.
Tom Erixon, the current president of Sandvik Hard Materials, was named the new president of Sandvik Coromant.
Tom Erixon, now 48, is currently president of Sandvik Hard Materials, a product of Sandvik Tools. Previously, Tom Erixon held various leadership positions within the Sandvik Group and the Boston Consulting Group.
The above appointment will take effect on September 1, 2009.
