The role of pump adapter

When the indoor fire pump fails or the fire water in the large fire room is insufficient, the water pump of the fire truck can be quickly and conveniently connected to the fire fighting equipment in the building through the interface of the adapter and the water is pressurized to make the indoor fire fighting equipment. Get enough pressure water to extinguish the fire and effectively solve the problem of fire extinguishing after the fire in the building or difficulty in extinguishing the fire due to lack of adequate pressure water sources in the indoor fire-fighting equipment.

Installation requirements

1. The installation of the fire pump adapter shall be performed in the order of interface, body, connecting pipe, check valve, safety valve, vent pipe, and control valve. The installation direction of the check valve shall be such that the fire water can be jointed from the fire pump. When the device enters the system, the installation of the integral fire pump adapter shall be performed according to its installation instructions.

2. The pump adapter shall be located outdoors where the fire engine is convenient for use. The distance from the outdoor fire hydrant or the fire pool shall not be less than 15m , and it shall not be more than 40m .

3. The fire-fighting pump adapter permanent fixing mark should be able to identify its corresponding fire-fighting water supply system or water-fighting fire extinguishing system. When there is a sub-zone, it should have a sub-zone mark.

4. The underground fire pump adapter shall be cast iron manhole cover with the symbol of “fire pump adapter”, and a permanent fixed sign indicating its position shall be installed near it.

5 , the installation of wall fire pump adapter should meet the design requirements. When the design is not required, the installation height should be 0.7m from the ground ; the net distance from the doors, windows, holes and holes on the wall should not be less than 2.0m , and should not be installed under the glass curtain wall.

6. The installation of the underground fire pump adapter shall be such that the distance between the inlet and the bottom surface of the well cover is not more than 0.4m , and shall not be less than the radius of the well cover.

7. There should be no obstruction between fire hydrant pump adapters and fire exits that can impede fire trucks from supplying pressurized water.

8, masonry underground fire pump adapter wells should be waterproof and drainage measures.
