In addition, two newly-developed national standards, "Limits of Harmful Substances in Soft Furniture Sofas" and "Limits of Harmful Substances in Soft Furniture Mattresses", have also been drafted, and currently the three standards are waiting for the relevant departments to release after review. According to Luo Xin, executive deputy director of the National Furniture and Indoor Environmental Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, there are currently three main types of people entrusted to the center for furniture testing: furniture manufacturers, sales companies, and consumers. Generally speaking, due to the high temperature and humidity in summer and the rapid release of gas, consumers entrust more inspections.

 

Luo Xin introduced that this summer the center has accepted more than a dozen consumer furniture testing projects entrusted by consumers. After testing, about 60% are qualified products and 40% are unqualified. The unqualified problem mainly occurs in formaldehyde exceeding the standard, cracking and deformation, etc., and the products in question are mainly concentrated in the building materials city in the remote suburbs or the furniture purchased from small enterprises.

 

It is understood that at present, furniture testing is charged per piece, and the cost of each piece of furniture testing is about 500 yuan. The detection method is to sample separately according to the different material composition, and then put the sample into standard air for extraction and analysis.

 

Li Jiguang, deputy director of the National Furniture and Indoor Environmental Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, introduced that non-destructive testing methods will be added in the future. "The center has 11 large environmental climate chambers, the largest is 30 cubic meters and the smallest is 1 cubic meter, which can be used for the overall inspection of furniture."

 

It is reported that the "National Standards for the Limitation of Hazardous Substances in Wooden Furniture" (Revision) currently drafted by the center has been completed. The standard stipulates that the furniture can be tested at a constant temperature and humidity of 23 and 45% humidity. In addition, after the introduction of the new national standard for soft sofas and mattresses, sofas and mattresses can also be non-destructively tested according to this method.

Pistons travel up and down within the cylinder twice during each rotation of the crankshaft. Pistons on engines that rotate at 1250 RPM, will travel up and down 2500 times per minute.
