The London Metal Exchange (LME) base metals closed higher across the board on Friday, with aluminum and other metals following a period of copper gains. Three-month aluminum rose to 1,814, and was reported to 1,805 on Thursday. Shanghai Aluminum Futures Exchange opened higher today and the current month contract is currently at around 15,760 yuan/ton. Relative to the market, the spot market performance is relatively stable. The performance in the morning market was relatively active. The price of aluminum ingots also rose to above RMB 16,050 per ton. Afterwards, aluminum fell, the market sentiment weakened, and the buyers turned to wait-and-see attitudes, and prices gradually fell. Today's trading range is between 15950-16050 yuan/ton. The use of aluminum companies in the preparation of the library before the Spring Festival needs, the recent market is active; and the Spring Festival is approaching, the railway transport capacity will remain tight, many traders also have the intention to sell goods. It is expected that before the end of the Spring Festival season, the spot supply will remain tight, and the aluminum market is cautiously optimistic in the short term.
