China Southern Power Supply Breaks 20 Billion in Electricity Supply to Macao

Since the supply of electricity to Macao by Zhuhai on July 1, 1984, as of December 20, 2012, China Southern Power Grid’s total supply of electricity to Macau has exceeded 20 billion kwh, reaching 200.03 million kWh, of which the estimated supply of electricity to Australia in 2012 is It reached 3.85 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%, and the power supply was more than 20 times higher than when Macao returned in 1999, accounting for nearly 90% of Macau's total electricity consumption.

China Southern Power Grid attaches great importance to power supply to Australia, actively fulfills its responsibilities, and realizes a 100% power supply reliability for power transmission in Macao for 29 years, providing strong power for political stability and economic prosperity in Macao. The main methods are: First, increase the construction of the power supply channel project in Australia. It has completed the construction of a two-circuit line of 110 kV Nanao and Gongao in connection with the supply of electricity to Macao. This year, it has put into operation the Zhuhai Qinyun to the Lotus Lotus 220 kV double-circuit (cable) line. At present, the power supply to Australia has formed 5 220 kV. Lines are mainly for supply, and four 110 kV lines are used as standby “double insurance” power supply networks, raising the capacity of power supply to Australia to 900,000 kilowatts. The second is to increase the operation and maintenance of the Australian power supply channel. Through the establishment of a cross-border repair mechanism with the Macau Electric Power Company, carrying out various forms of cultural exchange activities, and regularly strengthening cooperation and exchange, we have ensured the safe operation of the power supply channel. The third is to establish a normalized power supply protection mechanism and carry out joint anti-accident exercises on a regular basis to ensure the security of power supply during the major events in Macau.
