Pesticide Advertising Review Standard

On March 28, 1995, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce Order No. 28 was issued to ensure the authenticity, legality, and scientificity of pesticide advertisements.

1. The release of pesticide advertisements shall comply with the "Advertising Law of the People's Republic of China" and the State's regulations on pesticide management, and shall comply with the procedures stipulated in the "Measures for the Examination of Pesticide Advertisements" formulated by the State Administration of Advertising Supervision.

2. Pesticide may not be advertised without the approval of the state.

3. The content of pesticide advertisements shall be consistent with the contents of the Pesticide Registration Certificate and the Pesticide Registration Notice, and shall not be expanded arbitrarily.

4. Pesticide advertisements must not contain assertions or guarantees that are unscientific in expressing efficacy, such as: "harmless", "non-toxic", "no residue", "guaranteed high yield", etc. Pesticide advertisements must not degrade similar products and must not be compared with other pesticides for efficacy and safety.

5. Pesticide advertisements must not contain efficient and award-winning content.

6. The pesticide advertisements shall not contain the contents of pesticide research, plant protection units, academic institutions or experts, users in the name and image.

7. Pesticide advertisements shall not use direct or implied methods, as well as ambiguous and exaggerated terms, which may cause illusions in the safety, applicability or government approval of products.

8. Pesticide advertisements must not abuse research results or unscientific words and terminology that have not been approved by the state.

Nine, pesticide advertisements must not contain "invalid refund", "insurance company insurance" and other commitments.

X. There shall be no words or pictures in the pesticide advertisement that violate the regulations on the safe use of pesticides . If the protection does not meet the requirements, the pesticides are close to food, feed, children, etc.

11. The approval number of the pesticide advertisement shall be listed as the advertisement content at the same time.

12. For pesticide advertisements that violate this standard, advertisement operators may not design or produce, and advertisement publishers may not publish.
