Alloying element
Alloy 6063 is an alloy prepared with aluminum, magnesium and silicon as the main elements. Each element has a certain range of content, and the price of magnesium is high. Some manufacturers use less magnesium to allow less content in order to reduce costs. In some cases, the content of magnesium is lower than the allowable amount. Some factories add waste wires and waste pot aluminum waste pots to alloys, basically no 6063 alloy. As a result, the mechanical strength of the aluminum profiles is very low, and it can be as low as bending with two hands and one bend, and is commonly referred to as soft as noodles. This is one of the reasons why aluminum can be a few thousand dollars cheaper.
Regular aluminum manufacturers have internal standards when formulating alloy components, that is, within the range of various elemental contents, each factory has its own smaller range of variation, and the ratio between aluminum, magnesium and silicon is very strict. Each plant has its own data and is confidential. Qualified formula-made alloys can guarantee the quality. Otherwise, the quality will not increase.
2. Aluminum alloy melting furnace
How to melt the 6063 alloy with a good, what stove, which is also very important, and now the domestic use of the furnace has the level of the 40's, but also the level of the 90's, the poorer manufacturers use the original helium boiler. There are coal-fired, oil-burned, gas-fired and electrically heated smelting furnaces. Some stoves have chimneys, and some have no chimneys. The most commonly used are square-shaped furnaces (rectangular furnaces), advanced circular furnaces, and some circular furnaces can tilt aluminum water. On the tonnage of one ton, two tons, five tons, ten tons, twenty-five tons and fifty tons of aluminum melting furnace. More advanced, in the melting furnace below plus a static furnace, static furnace 6063 alloy used in the preparation of important, in addition to the slag in the furnace gas, standing, and then cast aluminum rod for extrusion use. The quality of the alloys formulated in the original coal-burning furnace and the modern circular furnace is not the same. In general furnaces, no matter what kind of fuel is burned, there should be a chimney, and most of the waste gas generated during the combustion of fuel can be discharged from the chimney. If the smokeless exhaust gas slag is completely melted in the aluminum water, the aluminum rod used for extrusion is cast, and there are serious slag inclusion bubbles in the interior. This is one of the reasons for the inferior quality of the aluminum material, which is one of the reasons for the low price of aluminum.
3. Alloy casting
The level of domestic foundry equipment is also very different. The older domestic foundry equipment has iron mold casting in the 1940s and advanced hydraulic semi-continuous casting. Iron die casting rods have poor crystal structure, and there are a lot of slag inclusions and bubbles in the casting rods. The quality of the casting rods is very poor. Nowadays, the most common ones used in factories are horizontal casting (also known as continuous casting) and semi-continuous casting. Semi-continuous casting most of the wire rope drive, better hydraulic transmission. Semi-continuous casting rods vary in length from 3 meters to 4 meters up to 8 meters. Semi-continuous casting is a pit type, which drops on one side of the casting and is cooled on all four sides with cold water. Because the water cooling is evenly distributed around, the casting rod has a uniform and fine crystal structure. However, the downward driving of the wire rope is not as smooth as the hydraulic transmission. The cast rod surface of the hydraulic casting is smoother than other cast rod surfaces. The smooth surface of the cast rod is one of the prerequisites for the extrusion of the profile. Casting rods with other methods is relatively rough surface, in order to ensure the quality of the profile, sometimes the cast rod first car, the car to cast rod rough appearance. The commonly used semi-continuous casting molds are advanced, hot-top horizontal casting molds. The characteristics of such casting molds can cast a few to several dozen roots at a time. The casting quality is good, and a high-quality 6063 aluminum alloy casting rod is available. In order to be able to produce good aluminum profiles, it is impossible to produce good aluminum profiles if it is impossible to cast good casting bars with the old and outdated casting equipment. There are many aluminum factories in China. There are no equipments for producing aluminum rods. Instead, 6063 alloy rods are purchased from electric aluminum plants or other plants. Such aluminum plants have the quality of aluminum materials in the hands of the production and casting rod factories and produce aluminum. Wood is difficult to achieve stable quality. With backward equipment than with advanced casting equipment, the first is a small investment, low production costs, which is why one of the reasons for the big difference in sales of aluminum.
4. Extrusion of profiles
There are many kinds of profile extrusion presses in China, and the gap between grades is also high in the world. There is a factory's own simple extruder, which can be transformed with a plastic extruder. There are a few domestic ones, followed by most of Taiwan’s, devil’s, the United States’ and Germany’s, with hydraulic and hydraulic pressure. In short, there are hundreds of domestic extruders. It is generally believed that devils, the United States, and Germany have better extrusion machines, followed by Taiwan. Good and bad extruders, the same cast rods, the extruded profile quality will never be the same. We often see 6033T5 for architectural aluminum doors and windows, which is an American brand international.
The Chinese brand name is LD31RCS. Both T5 and RCS indicate the state, which indicates the air-quenched and artificially aged state. The quenching of the metal suddenly quenches the high temperature to a low temperature. For example, the steel knife blade is hardened and sharpened in the water. The quenching of the aluminum material is also water-cooled and quenched. The 6063 profile for building is quenched with air-cooling, and the aluminum material after quenching is placed in the aging furnace for a certain period of time. The internal crystals of aluminum are rearranged and the mechanical strength is significantly improved. Of all the metals in the alloy, only the aluminum alloy has a time-effect state.
