Correct use of bus cables

1. Cable connection PROFIBUS cable is very simple, there are only two lines in it, one red and one green, and then a shielding layer. When wiring, connect the shield and do not touch the wires inside. It is a very common method to distinguish clearly between the lines going out and the lines going out, if it is a string, it is a bus going down and the substation is constantly connected in the middle. This is a very common method. In the two ends of the bus, the line must be in the hole that goes in. It cannot be the hole that is out. Then the two-headed connectors must turn their switches ON. At this time, they only go in. The wiring is on, and the outgoing wiring is broken. The rest of the middle connectors are all set to OFF. Both of their in and out connections are open (memory method: ON indicates access terminating resistor, so the connectors at both ends are turned ON; OFF indicates disconnection of the terminating resistor, so the middle connector To dial to OFF).

2. After the cable has been connected to the line, use a multimeter to measure it. See if the line is open. If you have only one connector on this wire, you measure the resistance value of the two pins above it. If it is 220 ohms, then it is right. If you have already done this, connect a string of interfaces, You're going to check one by one from one end. The first single wired interface is in the ON state, and then you turn the switch on the first adjacent interface to ON, and the later part of the interface is broken. Now the most edge is measured, that is, the single-wired interface, after the measurement has also been measuring this interface, measuring its transceiver two needles, and just as if the resistance is 110 ohms (parallel connected), then this paragraph The line is open, and then change the interface that was changed to ON in the middle to OFF, and then the next interface is changed to ON.... To measure it, if the resistance is not 110 ohms, that is the line there is a problem.

3. Common faults (1) Terminal DP head wiring is incorrect, or terminal resistance is set incorrectly.

(2) DP head wiring is not secure, it is best to complete the test with the above method.

(3) Hardware configuration and slave number setting problems.
